“Why is it that I found it difficult to make money with my blog, irrespective of launching my blog many years ago?” This is one important question many bloggers today ask themselves. Even though they have been blogging for a while now still found it difficult to make money online why some of their fellow bloggers are busy pushing millions of naira into their account.   JUST HAVING FUN AND JOKING: internet publishing and blogging    business is a very serious business and not an avenue to play about, joke and have fun, except your ambition is not to make money with your website.

·    HAVE NO MISSION: any business that has no mission is like a vehicle plying a road but does not have any destination.  That means there is possibility that the vehicle can crash anywhere. So if you have a blog but have no mission then you can crash anywhere and at any time. The mission of your blog makes up the mission statement of your blog.        “Building today’s generation with the media platforms that informs, educates, entertains, transforms and in all create a reliable future for the next generation.”  Mission statement of your blog is what tells your visitors what your blog is all about and the destination where you     are heading to.    Many unsuccessful bloggers in Nigeria started their blog because they find out that many people around them are blogging and they joined without having any mission in mind about the blog the launched.

·    LACK OF ADEQUATE KNOWLEDGE, INFORMATION AND IDEAS:  blogging fundamentally involves sharing of knowledge, ideas, information which many people don’t know them. You are respected as a blogger due to what you know that many people don’t know. Therefore as a blogger our paramount responsibility is to educate, inform and entertain our blog’s visitors. Now tell me in a situation whereby the blogger himself is ignorant, a novice and an illiterate, you will find out that he has nothing to give out and therefore it will be very hard for him to make money online. To make money with your blog is good but making money the fundamental and sole purpose of bogging is a very wrong perception. Money comes in the process of blogging and publishing content online and offering other related services. One experience that bloggers who are so desperate about making money with their blog have is that when the money fails to come quickly as expected  they tend to quit blogging and look for other source of earning money online. It is this set of bloggers that concludes that blogging is not lucrative.

·        POOR CONTENTS: who will ever like to visit a blog with a very poor content? Always pay adequate attention to your content, one good content is far much better than 100 bad contents.

·   LACK OF EFFECTIVE PLANNING: a popular adage said that “he who fails to plan, plans to fail” this adage is also applicable in blogging industry.  Blogging is a serious business and if you fail to plan before venturing into it, then you are indefinitely planning to fail in the business. Without good planning a time will come when you will become confuse and resultant effects might be to pack up and go but when you plan you will foresee the challenges ahead and how to overcome them.
